Hands-on trainings for companies, students and other interested public are offered by highly qualified experts from project consortium. We will help you to build practical skills, understand new technologies, and connect with experts from Slovenia and Europe.
Electronic, photonic and quantum chips and technologies are included in our spectrum of available courses – see our Course catalogue.
Imec.academy, imec’s learning institute, offers specialized courses on nanoelectronics and digital technology and engages in research on educational technology.
The European silicon photonics alliance is a not-for-profit open alliance of academic and industrial organizations with a mission to promote silicon photonics science, technology and applications in Europe and the world. Organize workshops and trainings on integrated photonics and quantum tehnologies.
STUDENT
Education
Upgrade of variety of university courses at partners institutions related to chips, electronics and semiconductor technologies. See a few examples below.
We organize workshops and conferences, strategic meetings, round tables and other events to boost the activities and financing in the field of chips and semiconductors.
Workshops will promote cutting-edge knowledge exchange, innovation, networking and foster collaboration between stakeholders. Strategic meetings and round tables with decision and policy makers will highlight the importance of the semiconductor sector for future financing and investments.
We ensure you easier and coordinated access to advanced technological infrastructure and equipment, both in Slovenia and across Europe. We assist you to access national and EU infrastructure and technologies for chip development and fabrication.
GET TO KNOW OUR
Focus areas
We cover a broad range of semiconductor technologies to assist companies and other stakeholders in development and innovation of chips and semiconductor technologies.
In particular our focus areas are two fold:
Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) and system on chips for niche applications and
Photonic and quantum chips as new generations of chips, offering new challenges and opportunities in semiconductor business.
We provide consulting services on equipment access, proof-of-concept development in microelectronics, photonics, quantum technology and nanofabrication. We also provide support on technology transfer, IP strategies, business planning, and access to public funding and venture capital.
Our ambition is to strengthen national semiconductor ecosystem. We aim to make connections and interactions between industrial partners on one side and academia and RO on the other side stronger.
Additionally, our aim is to use the opportunities to strengthen the collaboration of national stakeholders with EU and global providers and key players in the filed of chips and semiconductors.
FUTURE OF SEMICONDUCTORS
Building ecosystem
We are performing a mapping and searching of synergies between semiconductor stakeholders in Slovenia. We will invite you to take part and contribute to special events and strategic meetings check our events.
One of the goals is to foster connections and interactions between industry and research institution and academia.
Our competence center serves also as a contact and information point for using services of other Chips competence centers in EU. Feel free to contact us for additional information. You can also check information on other Chips conpetence centers of the web site of the network of the competence centers aCCCess.
