Chips Act 2.0 – what’s next for Europe’s semiconductor ecosystem?

April 9, 2026

The European Commission has launched an implementation dialogue on the Chips Act, marking an important step toward the upcoming revision of the policy framework – the so-called “Chips Act 2.0”.

At a pivotal moment for Europe’s technological sovereignty, industry leaders and policymakers are aligning on how to strengthen the semiconductor value chain, boost investment, and enhance Europe’s global competitiveness.

Key discussion points included:
🔹 Strengthening resilience across the semiconductor value chain
🔹 Improving conditions for investment and industrial scale-up
🔹 Stimulating demand for advanced semiconductor solutions
🔹 Shaping a more ambitious EU semiconductor strategy

The outcomes of this dialogue will directly contribute to future policy developments impacting the European semiconductor ecosystem.
