16 Feb 2026, a press conference was held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana on the topic of the National Programme for the Development of Chips and Semiconductor Technologies in Slovenia until 2030, which was adopted by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia in March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The program was prepared by a team of experts led by Ministrstvo za digitalno preobrazbo \/ Ministry of Digital Transformation<\/a>. KC \u010cip.si<\/a> partners, including Fakulteta za elektrotehniko Univerze v Ljubljani<\/a>, University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science<\/a> UM FERI<\/a>, Jozef Stefan Institute<\/a> and Nanocenter CENN<\/a>, also actively participated in the working group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the press conference, Prof. Dr. Janez KRC<\/a>, Coordinator of the KC \u010cip.si<\/a>, Prof. Dr. Marko TOPIC<\/a>, Dean of the University of Ljubljana, and Prof. Dr. Gregor Dolinar<\/a>, Vice-Rector for Research and Development of the University of Ljubljana, presented the Programme and highlighted its strategic importance for the development of Slovenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The program highlights key directions in the field of chip development in Slovenia from talent acquisition, investment in technological equipment, financing research, development and innovation, from design, prototyping, testing and advanced chip packaging.
